10 MILES!!!!!!!!
I ran 10 miles today!!!! I know I’d be doing it at some point… just never thought about what it would feel like to actually do it. And it hurts…. it hurts A LOT, but I didn’t die… and the other thing that helped was having someone there to run with, that really pushed me to stick it through (when I really wanted to stop and walk)… TNT Rocks!!!

Easy run w/ some strength training..
It is becoming increasingly hard for me to get a run in between the GTS, but I’ve been managing…even if it ends up happening on a friday, the day that I’m suppose to be “off” from running. But life doesn’t always follow schedules, and I still have to make that happen, especially since tomorrow I’ll be attempting 10 miles with the group. I didn’t want tuesday to be the only day I ran during the week (after the coach talk about that before the tuesday workout)… But I took it easy on the run on the treadmill and only did 3 miles. Then did some strength training, and spent some time on the elliptical crosstrainer. It was good workout.

No GTS-
So I ran on my own, on the Vanderbilt Motor Parkway… but before I started my run, there was a ridiculous accident on the LIE when I came out of the building- one of those trailer trucks flippped over… well to the side, still a terrible sight. I pray that whoever was driving was/is okay, but things did not look good.. I stood there for probably about 30-40 minutes watching the emergency service people pulling the truck upright. But once the truck was right side up, I proceeded to my run. Ran alone… haven’t done that in a while- not since I started running with my sister or with the Team… it was cool, got to sing along to my tunes– out loud!!!… unless someone was walking /running/biking by me… then I stopped (singing not running).

kickass workout!!
Was in a zone and didn’t even notice the time flying.. But it was a good workout. 30 minute elliptical, some killer abs and weights… all around good time.

GTS - Effort Levels
So for this workout, theĀ beginner group had to first warm up, then we ran 200 meters hard with 200 m recovery for about 25 minutes. When I say hard, they say to do it at 5K pace, where you are unable to have a conversation, but you’re not like going for a world record or anything. I started off pretty good…but I really don’t have the endurance when it comes to speed, to keep that going for too long. Gotta keep working on that.
