Kissena corridor walk
Took a nice and easy stroll out to the park with my husband and daughter in the stroller. Took in the sights at Kissena Park, and people watched for a bit… very interesting people there. It was nice to be out with the family. And Kissena Park is actually a very pleasant park to take a nice stroll in.

Mental Challenges
hmm… I’m not sure what’s going but for whatever reason, I have not been able to go for another 3 mile run since Monday… So that confirms that it was the Giants that motivated me, underdog triumphs tend to do that for me :-).
It looks like there’ll be days when your body (or rather your mind) just won’t let you push past a certain point.. I don’t know, but that seems to be what’s happened to me this week. I think though it really is just mental, because I’m not hurting.. I more or less feel okay while running, but I just I noticed that once I’ve given up in my mind, it’s all over. And also if I don’t get on a certain type of treadmill, I will not be able to run for a long time… which really makes no sense, but that’s what happens. Or like when I used to run track and field, if I didn’t have gum to chew during practice I couldn’t run… what’s that about (I don’t need that anymore though).
Well anyway, I managed to run 2 miles this morning (last night only 1.5 miles), which felt like such a daunting task, when there are days when it feels like nothing. I also got on machines and did some strength training.

Hi, I just joined the Sweat365 community
Hello there,
Just came across this site this morning.. and I thought why not sign up. Good way to keep track of my training and also be part of a “community” and also blog.
I guess my main goal is to build more endurance over time. I’d like to run a marathon someday, and since I have to start somewhere, I am now training myself to run a 5K, hopefully in March.
I’ve been keeping up with a steady training schedule… I’ve actually been following Coolrunning.com’s Couch-t0-5K running plan. a 9 week program which has taken me several months to be ready for a 5k. Once I can comfortable run 3 miles. I’ll actually follow a 5k training plan to work on the time.
I also enjoy regular exercise like yoga, pilates, aerobics… also dancing. And I also do some strength training at least twice a week.
So check back, and see what I’ve been up to.. comment and help me to stay on track and motivated.
